Thickness and Strength

Supplied thicknesses range from .040" to 1.0" and widths up to 105".

Impact resistance

.125" OPTIX acrylic sheet is approximately 2 to 3 times more impact resistant than double strength window glass, and 4 to 5 times more impact resistant than wire glass or other glasses.

OPTIX acrylic sheet has a high molecular weight, which allows it to be easily fabricated.

Weight

Lightweight – half the weight of glass.

Weather resistance

OPTIX acrylic sheet is recommended for both indoor and outdoor use. It is able to withstand prolonged exposure to the sun and elements.

Glare control

OPTIX acrylic sheet is available with a smooth, non-glare or patterned surface.

UV control

OPTIX clear acrylic sheet has UV transmittance of 10-20% (in the 250-400 nm wavelength range), and visible light transmittance of 92%.
