Plaskolite has an in-house product stewardship program that evaluates the ingredients in its products, along with routine laboratory tests to ensure that they meet global product standards, such as the European Union's RoHS standard. Plaskolite's products are free of ozone-depleting substances and plasticizers.

Plaskolite is committed to environmental sustainability – to minimize the impact of its manufacturing activities on the environment. Through an in-house environmental program, EPA regulations are maintained, even as they continually shrink their environmental footprint through process improvements such as increased recycling/reuse, reduced water consumption, and increased energy efficiency.

Acrylic products can support environmental sustainability efforts. Because of the inherent durability of acrylic sheet products, the frequency of replacement of acrylic parts/items is significantly reduced due to its extended life span. This will reduce the waste generated by replacement needs. There is no post-consumer recycled content in Plaskolite acrylic products due to the high optical quality needs of many of our sheet product applications. However, Plaskolite's acrylic sheet products and their plastic protective masking films are recyclable** (**Recycling programs for this product may not exist in your area). Acrylic sheets have lower thermal conductivity than clear standard glass, corresponding to better insulating values. Therefore, they can be incorporated into applications that require superior insulating values, such as energy efficient equipment.
